My New Toy Caenan
So this is my new toy: the Shimano Caenan, which I am DYING to try out. Besides the 6 stainless steel ball bearing, something that draws me to this reel is its super light weight 198 gram construction. Sure it’s not made of the same materials as its bigger brothers, such as the Curado, but I have owned many graphite reels in the past without a single problem. Il be loading this with Berkley Fireline and a Berkley Vanish leader. Below are a few of the features crammed into this reel:
- Aluminum Lo-Mass Spool System
- Super Stopper
- Assist Stopper
- High Speed 6.5:1 Retrieve
- High Density EVA Power Grips
- 6 Shielded Stainless Steel Ball Bearings
- VBS (Variable Brake System) with Reduced Mass Hub
- Disengaging Levelwind System
- Quickfire II Clutch Bar
- 1/8 Turn Easy Access Attached Sideplate
- Drilled Handle Shank
- Ceramic Line Guide
- Recessed Reel Foot
- Metal Cast Control Knob
- Rated for use with Mono, Fluorocarbon and PowerPro lines
- Approved for use in Saltwater
